Eurodance: the unlikely secret to winning friends and influencing people

OK, so I realise that I am hopelessly behind with the times but last Thursday I finally got a hit counter up and running. I must admit, it's pretty lame that I've been blogging for almost a year and a half and yet only started monitoring at who's actually reading it less than a week ago, but what can you do?! Not much to report so far but something that has struck my interest is that so far all the people who have googled to get to me have been looking for Eurodance related stuff! One had typed in straight up "Eurodance", another was specifically wanting "2 Unlimited" and another wanted "Ghetto Pussy" (I hope they meant Tokyo Ghetto Pussy, and weren't looking for porn from da 'hood). Those 3 hits happened in 2 days! I'm thinking that Eurodance might just be the key to my success on the web, so I'm considering changing this blog's theme... OK, not really, but it has set the cogs of my mind in motion. FYI, the Eurodance Track O' The Week for this week is Corona's 'Baby Baby'. That song was solid gold. There isn't much I wouldn't do for a copy of that album, I must say.

Olga Souza was a little more cheery on album covers than other pouty Eurodance musos I could mention.

I'm afraid I don't have any useful answers to those questions, but I do have sympathy and understanding for your situation. Read: I also have an essay to start and finish by tomorrow, gah!

I was in such a state of dispair this afternoon that all that came to mind was an image representing my physical and mental state (mind, it was probably delirium-induced thus explaining its bizarre-ness): Me with the side of my head being repeatedly slammed by a sliding door, and the front of my head being repeatedly head-butted by a head-butting dinosaur.

Ahem. So I understand.

Way to go us! We can do it! (or if not, we can drown our sorrows together)

Svet is here to help..

1. Because I like being creative and I also like to bitch about things very publicly. I guess the wanky way to put this would be "witty life commentary".

2.No, duh! (cept no family knows address)

3.No I havent been to an official grog blog, but i have met some bloggers (not in a set up blog meet though)

4. Yes.

5. Not REAL friends, just people who I know and like. I guess we havent had the chance/time to become real friends.

6. Im not very aware of the melb bloging community. But i guess i think some are really cool and some are pretty uncool, its a land of extremes!

7. I dont consider myself a part of it. Maybe if i went to grog blog I might.

1. Why do you keep a blog?

Well basically because I do like to write and realised I couldn't make a living from it. It helps clear ones head, provides ample show-and-tell space to show how ultra cool you are, and is a source of much needed appreciation and acceptance.

2. Do you write it anonymously? If so, why?
Not as such, I'm sure the name Stu is commonly found in my blog. I do however refrain sending the link to family and discerning colleagues, who arent as liberal as myself.

3. Would/have you ever attend/ed a grog blog or other blogger meet up?
Gro blo what huh? If this was a random meeting of blog nerds then maybe not. But if it were a group who were all online friends and reading each others stuff for a period of time, then sure.

4. Have you made any online friends through blogging?
Not through blogging - just trawling *cough* I mean having people find me at random through online directories after I spam *cough* send them notes.

5. Have you made any friends that you see in real life that you've met through blogging?
See above.

6. What is your overall impression of the Melbourne blogging communitity?
I really didnt know there was a mass community out there. Are they watching my every move? *grabs tin foil hat*

7. Do you consider yourself a part of it?
Considering my blogging of late has been less than frequent, not an active participant no. But I'll be back.
