The RBA Took My Baby Away...

OK, so he's back now. Can I help it if it takes me almost two months to think of an amusing title??

Anyway, the point of this 2nd all-filler-no-killer post is to make you aware that Saturday the 28th of January is my anniversary! Yes, Quasi Boho Alterna-Whatnot is now a year old. And despite the fact that I only average 2 and 3/4 posts per month; it's still kicking on, which I find to be something of an achievement. So, yay for me and yay for my little blog.

Now, on to a public service announcement:
OK, so what is it with people naming their bands after songs by the Smiths?? It seems pretty pretentious to do it once, but more than once borders on the absurd. First there was Pretty Girls Make Graves, and now it has come to my attention that there is a band out there called Death Of A Disco Dancer. Please, people, stop the madness now! I mean, seriously, That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore...

Yes, yay for Alex and her little blog with the name so embarassing she won't tell people what it is. Rest assured the meagreness of the content is more than made up for by it being unique.

Hey, yeah, good point ns. Can anyone else think of one I've forgotten?

Thanks, russ. I don't know if QBAW is exactly unique, but it's nice to hear you say it, anyway.

I hereby swear that in your second year I will comment more than i did in the first. This means I shall be improving my blog-commenting average, which currently stands at 1/12 comments per month. I think i beat you.
Anyway keep up the good work. I personally look forward to QBAW: The Twilight Years.
Your blog is truly ace.

Suede were named after the song 'Suedehead' too - Bret and Bernard are big fans. I think they're actually known as Suedehead in the US because there was some obscure lounge singer with their original moniker already.

Congrats on your anniversary ... I must say that your blog is dragging me scarily close to the whole blog phenomenon.

xoxo.

Happy Blog B'Day. At one year old it's definitely cute. What are you going to give your blog as a Birthday Present? Hmmm? A make over? More pictures? Bright colours?

Keep up da good werk.

Wow, a year of blogging! Congratulations my blogblog friend. I couldn't think of an adjective then so i just made up a word, and how appropriate was blogblog? See, this is why I love your blog alex, because it actually makes sense and is interesting, rather than full of made up words and incoherent rants. Oh yeah, and that's why i love you too! Because you don't make up words or rant incoherently...much. Anyway, this comment is fast becoming a rant...or maybe I'll call it a rave...yes, a rave review!
Ok I'll stop now. Byebye

What about "Panic! At The Disco"

Not only derived from the Smiths but also misquoted as well.
